There were only two bans given out to Super League players for last weekend’s game, with both of those punished playing for the luckless London Broncos. Ethan Natoli and Rhys Kennedy both received one game bans, Natoli for Grade C Head Contact and Kennedy for a Grade C Dangerous Contact charge. Both men will therefore miss the Bronco’s trip to Super League champions Wigan Warriors on Friday night.
There were also two bans handed out in the Betfred Championship this past week; Edene Gebbie of Whitehaven received a one match penalty notice for a grad C Dangerous Contact charge, and Zack Fishwick, playing on dual-registration from Hull KR at Featherstone Rovers also received a one match ban for the same charge.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Batley hooker Alistair Leak seems set to be on the side lines for the forseeable future, after being charged with a Grade F charge of “Making unnecessary contact with a Player who is or may be injured.” His case has been referred to the tribunal, and if the charge stands, he faces a minimum six game ban. We will provide an update once the tribunal has sat.
The final suspensions of this weeks update was handed to Adam Carr of North Wales Crusaders in League One. He has received a one match suspension for a Grade C Dangerous Throw charge.
